In the latest Test batting rankings of the International Cricket Council (ICC), Indian captain Virat Kohli is at number one with 934 points. New Zealand's Ken Williamson is at number two. Due to his century in the first innings of the second Test against Australia, the difference between him and Williamson has increased from seven to 19.


Indian Test team vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane has also gained three points. They have now reached number 15 in the 17th place. Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has also achieved his career-best ranking. They are at 48th with a jump of 11 places.

 Kiwi captain Williamson has 915 rating points. He is the first batsman in New Zealand to cross the 900 rating mark. Third is Steve Smith of Australia and Cheteshwar Pujara on fourth. England captain John Root is at number five.



In the bowlers' rankings, Jaspreet Bumrah is at 28th position. This is the best ranking of his career. Bumrah has 591 rating points. His teammate Mohammed Shami has reached the 21st with a jump of two places. They have 667 rating points.

 Australia's Usman Khawaja scored a 72 in Perth Test, has improved one place. They have now reached number 12. They have 692 rating points. Australian captain Tim Penn also reached the 55th to 46th ranking.
