In the latest Test batting rankings of the International Cricket Council (ICC), Indian captain Virat Kohli is at number one with 934 points. New Zealand's Ken Williamson is at number two. Due to his century in the first innings of the second Test against Australia, the difference between him and Williamson has increased from seven to 19.




Indian Test team vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane has also gained three points. They have now reached number 15 in the 17th place. Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has also achieved his career-best ranking. They are at 48th with a jump of 11 places.

Kiwi captain Williamson has 915 rating points. He is the first batsman in New Zealand to cross the 900 rating mark. Third is Steve Smith of Australia and Cheteshwar Pujara on fourth. England captain John Root is at number five.
