Xiaomi has informed that it will no longer support any of its two popular smartphones. These smartphones are Xiaomi Mi5 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. According to the post issued on the Chinese company's official forum, Xiaomi will soon update MIUI 10.2 software updates to these two smartphones. This will be the last software update from the company for both of these phones. It is worth noting that nearly three months ago, the company had informed Xiaomi Mi 4S and Mi 4C not to provide software updates in the future. The last update for these two phones of Mi 4 series was MIUI 10.1.
Along with that, Xiaomi has a good record to update its smartphone. Some phones have got updates for four years. But news of Xiaomi Mi5 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has not been given any updates in future, it is shocking to many fans of Shawmo. Many fans of the company and users of these devices have expressed disappointment at the Meiyi Forum.
An old Shaomi fan said that it is a matter of disappointment. I do not have these devices. But the decision to shut down official software support by Shamoji has disappointed me.
A second fan said, "This decision is unjustified! We are talking about the 2016 Shaoomi flagship smartphone. How is this possible?"
Remember that Xiaomi officially launched MI5 and Redmi Note 3 in 2016. Shamoemi 5 handset comes with 5.15 inch full HD display. At the same time, Redmi Note 3 has a 5.5-inch full-HD screen. Talk about other specifications, the Mi5 comes with Snapdragon 820 processor and with the Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon 650 processor.
The last MiU update for Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3 is expected to be launched in January 2019.
